To whom it may concern:

Hundreds of stories go untold, for a simple reason.  No one tells them.  No one writes them down.  I have few goals in life, but one of them is to make sure as many stories as possible get told.  Be it in poetry, song, epic, novel, movie, or even in oral tradition.  As long as the stories are told, I will be content.  
That’s why I’m writing this.  My friends have started to get annoyed with me because I’m always badgering them and random people on the street about it.  A few weeks ago, my friend Rex got so annoyed with it that he brought up how I was a hypocrite.  
I know I’m a hypocrite, nearly everyone on this planet of ours is.  I’m not disputing the fact, but it just really ticked me off.  So this is my protest, I’m actually telling my story.  Let me tell you it is a doozy of a tale.  I don’t expect half of those reading to believe it, but still.  A story is a story no matter how it’s told.  All stories have at least a few seeds of truth in them, so here, mine’s about to start.
But, first read these warnings.
Pay attention.
Suspend reality.
Is it night or day?
If it’s day I trust that you know what to do, get in the sunlight.  Nothing bad can ever happen there.  Light will always be there… until it fades away.

If it’s night, you have more instructions

Turn on all the lights in your room
If you have a pet, a blanket something you can cling to, get it
Lock your door
Again make sure all the lights in your room are on, or else.
Now then, you are ready to read this book.  You should be safe, but know I can guarantee nothing after you turn the page.
This will get jumpy.
If you’re not confused, I did this wrong.
I’ll say more than once, don’t get scared.
Don’t worry its okay.
If you do get scared shut the book, don’t go any further, but I warn you, once you know my tale, you’re likely to become a part of it.  Then only light can shelter you and even that may not be good enough to save you from whatever fate will start.
I hope you know the gravity of this, but I can’t implore my warning any further, my editor says that you’ll get bored and put the book down, or else you’d think I was overdoing it and not pay any attention, so here we go.  My tale, it is a good one, strange not very happy, but I think it is good.  I have survived it so it cannot be too bad.
