I can't find the Fan Art folder. I created a character derived from a monster in a videogame and thought it was appropriate in Fan Art. [link]

I would suggest submitting you work, and as long as it follows the Guidelines it should be accepted.

But I can not judge ahead of time, all people must go through the same submission process.

I have a question: I have submitted artwork to the "Novice" folder, but I have written some things that are in the fantasy genre, but I don't know where to put them! :(
One of my stories is a serious one (which is written as prose), while the other is a parody (which is written as a script). Do I put them in the "Literature" foldier here or the "Novice" folder?

I would submit them into literature if it is writing

If you are not sure where to submit, The Fantasy folder is always a safe bet. We can always relocate it to a more related folder later if need be :)

Most sculptures of ancient mythological gods/goddesses show nudity , a lot of my work that i have not put on deviant yet contains the same level when depicting these entities. Is this allowed?

Artistic nudity is acceptable, as long as the mature filter on your piece has been set :)

I have a rather silly question.
I have just joined and do plan to submit artwork in the future. But I am confused as to if I should submit to the Fantasy gallery or the Novice Circle. I really cannot judge my own art so I cannot tell where it should be placed. Anyway I can helped?

I submitted a drawing one sunday, then i waited following monday for a week as asked in the guide lines to submit another. It told me i did not wait long enough. I was so embarassed I did not dare try again and I guessed it's waiting one week after acceptance and not submission time so I'm sorry if that has inconvenienced anyone : /

I am new to DA. Is there a way for members to check if it is time for a new one or not ? when we last submitted and what we have submitted so far?

No need to be embarrassed, usually it is an automatic message ;)

Usually it works well, so it should be a full week from when you submitted it.

I am confused on one thing:
If I draw a creature/character from the d20 guidelines (beholders, gnomes, ect) then would it go under Fantasy or FanArt?
Reply
:iconalltheoriginalnames:
alltheoriginalnames Featured By Owner Apr 3, 2010
Fan Art is intended for Film, Novel, Game, etc Characters and settings.

:iconissuldra:

So is that were the d20 characters go?

:iconalltheoriginalnames:
alltheoriginalnames Featured By Owner Apr 3, 2010
By D20 I assume you are referring to the D20 System by Wizards of the Coast based of of the 3rd Addition of Dungeons and Dragons.

If they are original characters in an original setting, than it is best submitted in Fantasy. If it is original characters or know characters in a known setting in a Film, Novel or Game then it is Fan Art/Fan Fiction.

So if it was original characters in a D&D original world, it's fantasy. Characters based off of the D&D Dragonlance Novels would be Fan Art.

Hello, I had a submitted piece that made it to the featured gallery. I wanted to be able to get critiques so I paid for a premium membership which allowed me to edit my deviation to ask for critiques... which seems to have pulled my submission from Realms of Fantasy.... is there anyway to get it back or do I have to resubmit?

Upgrading to a Subscribed Membership does not pull your submissions from Groups. Your image is still in our Galleries, under Fantasy/Sci-fi Characters section. If you would like for us to move it to the Critique Section of our Group, simply let us know.

Heh. I see I've been possibly submitting art to the wrong folder. Instead of "Fantasy" it should be "The Novice Circle" ^^;
