I have just recently received the opportunity to become the "Science Fiction and Space Art" Community Volunteer Gallery Moderator here on deviantART.
I am looking for "Science Fiction and Space Art" deviations to feature as Daily Deviations, and you can help.
If you know of any submissions that you think should gain more exposure and be Featured as a Daily Deviation,
and they are "Science Fiction and/or Space Art"related, send me a DD Suggestion via note.
I have info on my front page regarding how to suggest a DD if you have any questions.
I would prefer suggestions for artists that have less exposure and little to no previous DD's,

i know what some of you may think here, "well, my skill level isn't going to win me anything here"
my friend, that is not the case in this event. ALL entries will be have the same amount of chance, the final winner is not based on how well the drawing or writing is done. the winner will be RANDOM. you are asked to do your best because you owe it to yourself for a good piece of work. The final piece will remain your own property, im just trying to get some activities going here. XD
you need to do one of the following to quality as an entry.
1. a drawing of a lamia in any media (traditional, digital, photo-manip, also welcome)
2. a short story involving a lamia. preferably no longer than 1 page.
there are a few versions of the lamia monster, what i am looking for is the one that is top half human, and lower half snake. now most of these are portrayed as female, but if you are up to it, feel free to make a male one.
also regarding the hair, you are free to make it snake hair or norma

Devious Journal EntryMusic influences how I shoot and edit. Such unpredictable combinations of songs could produce interesting results. Finding out what external influences affect you, gives more power in altering your moods at will.

Writer's Block- the diseaseRight now I've got a pretty bad case of it.
But I can't be the only one, right?

Inspiration and How I aqquired My StyleHere I'm going to talk about my Inspirations.
Here you can see I took GRADUAL steps to get the style I attain today.

And I will tell you how I got there.
I was mesmerized by :iconnashya: older arts, she was my up-most idol!

I noticed Her way before I found charlie in 2006! she even did a brilliant tutorial!
I still love it! and i followed it step by step to accomplish her style, alas i couldn't quiet replicate it.

but you can see from her work, where i got my technique from, starting from dark to light and building on top.
I also noticed: :iconsayda: to me she was godly! I followed her tutorials and colored her line arts!
funnily enough entering one of her competitions i found charlie in the bunch of participants, this was way before she became a master.

Uni daze & Requests/CommissionsStarted uni about 2 weeks ago now, was a lot more hectic than I originally thought it was gonna be :/
Anywho ~ I've started taking writing requests/commissions, the whole reason for this being to improve my writing and get some of it out there. And maybe making a couple quid in the process.

How To Commission MeUpdate on my Commission Infos, as I thought of these points as necessary to add.
If you want to commission me, no panic, you don't have to spend a huge amount of points. We can set up a certain amount, or you can decide how much you want to give me. Though I would ask for a minimum, depending on what I have to write about.

I will work on it as fast as possible. May take a little longer if I can't immediately think of something matching.

OCs are preferred, as I feel a little awkward with using characters from film or stuff. But that doesn't mean you can't request it.

In case you want a fan-fic, you most probably will have to provide me informations about the characters's personalities and general behaviour towards each other. Otherwise, I can't guarantee anything. I am horrible at anime series or anything (I barely watch any series), so please do take this in consideration when asking for fandom.

Below, I will list my suggestions for cleaning linearts, as well as adding members' suggestions as they post their comments on this journal.
All that I ask is if you make a suggestion, give me a title to give your suggestion and tell me which image-editting program the tutorial is for!

Writer - Scenarist WANTED!Yea!
I am looking for (co-)writer for a comic!
What kind of a comic?
- I would like to make it a sci-fi / detective story (obviously my favorites) with some fantastic/romantic touch alternatively.
Setting could vary, I greatly enjoy 18th-early20th century settings. Of course such setting could run intertwined into our 21th century as well, in fact I would like that a lot!)
Blood, gore, rape, murder  just as love, treason ... everything is welcome (but with accent on blood, horror and gore, I'd become sick at something as shallow romantic as Twilight)
What do I expect from you?
- JUST WRITE WITH ME! ... or for me (maybe you already have a story?)
You don't need experience, or having anything published   but you have to be able to write something suitable for a graphic novel.
