mmm about the multiple post copying... WTF?
certainly its to much time involved in answering... so is understandable the copy paste so people might see what your point is... but a recommendation to save such trouble would be to make an edit on the poll or a journal with an update where you can put your thoughs... that way you answer to all and don't burn your time nor their sensibilities.
next, if you don't want those unhappy with the results complaining... don't give them the opening... you are right this might have taken fire from the congratulations journal... but this is like opening the Pandora's box... don't get surprised if there is some fire juming out of it.
my stance is the same, I enjoyed the theme and helped me create something interesting... but I expected a winning chance (not winning, there is too much wonderful works in the contest), but seeing the contest dominated mostly by 1 media does make people to feel there was no real chance at all, which a) make people lose faith in mixed media contest, b) it is heavily discouraging for those who already feel their own art is the ugly duck in DA.
but these are entirely my opinions, I stand by them, if they are enough for people to tell me "hey, the door is right there" i won't take more your time, nor lose mine.
I, personally, welcome those who disagree with my point of view. And invite some of the more "questioned" winners to stand up for themselves or fans to defend their favorites. That's what an open forum is, an open space to agree and disagree without fear and with all the boldness of a fearless defender.

So Sorry for the participants who feel defeat just like the way i feel, i knew that you all are deserving and had an effort for the entry you submit ( just the way i do.)
After the 25 semi-finalists are revealed i also feel a bit frustrate but it's ok... it was like a fart that disappear after a minute or an hour or a days.
We can't changed the judges descision and Don't forget.... "This contest is only one from a Hundred Contests"
We still have chance and don't feel like everything is end here, ( whoooaaaa do i feel dramatic?
Too many are very pleasing in the eye but the concept and ideas had not enough.

Criticism of the piece (on many of our parts) has nothing to do with your own merits. It is in relation to the other works. Your claim that it took you 4 hours puts many of us off, as other pieces that did or did not get selected worked for days on theirs. It challenged many to be harsher on you because it made the unspoken statement of "look how bad@$$ I am, this only took me four hours, how cool is that." So I think many of us felt that you didn't "work hard to do this picture just like everyone else" but rather put much less into it than others. It just how it came across bro.
No one's ragging on your idea by its-self, cause frankly I'm a 501st legionnaire, you better believe I'd help Vadar get the ring (evil laugh).
So my apologies to you, in my case is a grit about the chances other media really had, which has no really case to roam over; your piece simply is the one which calls for attention in base of "originallity", but that is my humble opinion.
