no offense, I don't even bother to try and get into these anymore. To base it off of first come first serve, you are crossing out a lot of people.

Thank you very much for your opinion, and sure is not an offense ;)

But what i have seen is that there is allways someone that disagrees x)
Doesnt matter how hard we try... or how many time we spend doing these features... or contests or anything else...
We do these voluntering... using our time, (and money sometimes) and we have a life mate x)

I would really like that instead complaining and leaving, you make a good suggestion, we are open to new ideas and to improve our activities.

We get many suggestions everyweek, in the blog and even by notes (even knowing notes are not accepted).
Our group accept all skill levels, and also our activities, which mean that anyone can get featured here...

Now you tell me, how do we do it? if we get 200 suggestions, how do we choose just 20?...

Thats why we are doing it this way... but we keep working to improve it and as i said we are open to suggestions, you can say any idea you may have

And i encourage everyone to do the same. ;)

I'm not complaining and leaving, that would be lame. ;)
I'm simply saying that you all exclude a large chunk of your group that has a life outside deviantart and that majority will never get here in time to be the first of just 20 or so people to go through their stuff and choose two deviations... that's kind of maddening. So instead of trying every time, I'm just going to keep skipping it because it's already proven to be not worth the trouble. And honestly, I'm sure that's what a lot of people think. It's a good idea for a feature though, just with a group this large it's kind of not suitable anymore to do it the way you do. But I can understand that less work for you and more for the members to catch these quickly seems to work best. ;) NO biggie, I was just stating my side of things.

I hope you don't mind if i politely interject ;)

Our First couple of "Give a Feature, Get a Feature" Projects had a great turn out, very large in fact at 200 to 300 suggestions, which means 440 to 600 features in all. While this was great participation from our Members and Watchers, we very quickly discovered that processing something that large on a regular basis was far too difficult and time consuming. So after some discussion among Mods we decided to narrow it down to 20, and that would make it more challenging as well. A first come, first serve kind of Black Friday event so to speak.

Unfortunately the drawback to this is that many people are not able to participate. We all have lives, live in different times zones, and vary the frequency online time. So the 1st 20 simply becomes a luck of the draw on who's on at what time. Most people have figured out by now that the blogs are released each Sunday, but the time varies, so that we may give people in different times zones a chance.

So while we would love to have everyone participate, the sheer numbers of it makes it somewhat difficult. I hope that with this being further explained that you have a better understanding of our methods. Everything we do here is based off of trial and error from past experiences. We learn, adapt and grow.

But if you have any suggestions on how we may do this particular event differently so that more people may participate, I am more than happy to listen :)

Thank you for your feedback.
